The sheltered housing scheme at Kindrochit Court, Braemar was built in 1989 and consists of 11 flats in a single storey block building. There is also a large residents’ lounge and attached kitchen, laundry equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers and a guest bedroom where tenants’ friends and relatives can stay overnight.
All properties have electric 'Total Control' heating and a door entry system at the main entrance door provides security. There is a
Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the scheme.
The Visiting Scheme Manager is on duty at the scheme during weekdays, and when not on duty, support for tenants is provided through the Community Alarm scheme that can initiate appropriate action to assist.
Kindrochit Court, which is located next to the church in the centre of Braemar, also has regular Day Centre activities open to tenants and other people in the village.
There is a communal satellite TV reception system.
The village of Braemar is located on Upper Deeside with trunk road links to Aberdeen city to the west and Perth to the south. There are a range of services and facilities available including medical practice, Post Office, various shops and hotels.
