Moray Care and Repair

Moray Care and Repair offer a service to Owner Occupants and Private Tenants who live within the Moray area and are either over 60 or a disabled person of any age. Our advice and assistance is generally free although a small fee may be payable should any architectural drawings be required.

Home improvements and repairs

The project can help with many repairs and improvements such as

• Replacing windows and doors
• Roof repairs and replacements
• Repairing or replacing gutters and downpipes
• Picking and pointing external walls or re-harling
• Damp proofing work and timber treatment work (wet/dry rot)
• Adapting the property to suit a disabled person e.g. level access or wet floor showers, stairlifts, wheelchair accessibility, downstairs toilets etc.

The project can assist by

• Discussing what repairs or improvements are required
• Obtain quotations from reputable contractors
• Advising on eligibility for financial assistance
• Assisting with paperwork and liaising with other organisations
• Refer clients on to other agencies e.g. Scottish Executive Central Heating Scheme, Save Cash and Reduce Fuel (SCARF), Warm Deal etc.
