The very sheltered housing scheme at Craigielea Gardens, Craigton Road, Aberdeen was built in 1990. There are 50 flats located in the two storey block building, which is set in attractive landscaped grounds. In addition, there are residents lounges on the ground floor and first floor together with a communal laundry equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers. There are also four guest bedrooms available for relatives or friends of tenants to stay and a hobbies room to allow tenants to pursue their interests.

All properties have central heating provided from a central gas boiler plant and there is a door entry system and fire alarm system throughout the building.

The scheme is linked to a Day Centre operated by Aberdeen City Council which provides a number of services including a midday meal for tenants, and others. Staff are also employed by Aberdeen City Council under the supervision of the Scheme Manager and part of their duties is to provide a 24 hour/day housing support service for tenants at Craigielea Gardens.

The scheme is located in a residential area in the west of Aberdeen city close to a small shopping area and with public transport links to the city centre and beyond.
