Craigievar Court Craigievar

The sheltered housing scheme at Craigievar Court, Craigievar Crescent, Aberdeen was built in 1985 and consists of 27 two apartment flats in a 3 storey block building, with lift access to all floors.  Communal facilities for tenants' use include a large lounge and kitchen, and a laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers. In addition, there are 2 guest bedrooms where tenants' friends and relatives can stay for a small charge.

All properties have central heating from a central gas boiler, and a door entry system at the main entrance provides security. In addition, there is a Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the building.

We provide a Housing Support service 7 days each week at this scheme.   We employ a Manager and a Relief Manager to do so, and they are normally on duty each day from 9.00 am - 5.00 pm, with a one hour flexible break for lunch between 12.00 - 2.00 pm.   When staff are not on duty, support for tenants is provided by RCC/Community Alarm, whose staff can initiate appropriate action to assist.

Located in the Garthdee area of Aberdeen, Craigievar Court has access to a limited public transport service to Aberdeen city centre and its services and facilities. In addition, there are some small local shops and the large shopping are at Bridge of Dee is located close by.
