The very sheltered housing scheme at Victoria Grange, Dyce consists of 35 one bedroom flats and 4 two bedroom flats. The scheme includes a restaurant where daily meals are available for Victoria Grange’s tenants and others. There are also a number of activity groups and events that take place in the Resource Centre. In the part of the scheme there is a residents’ lounge and laundry and guest bedrooms where tenants’ relatives or friends can stay.
All properties have central heating throughout supplied from a central gas boiler and there is lift access to all floors. There is a
Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the scheme and a door entry system at the main entrance provides security.
One of a team of Housing Support Workers is on duty at Victoria Grange 24 hours each day, including 'sleepover' in the staff accommodation provided. The role of these staff is to provide appropriate support to tenants and to work along with other individuals and agencies to respond to tenant needs. The support provider is Carewatch Grampian.
The general needs properties have gas central heating and are situated at Merrivale, Station Road.
Dyce is a suburb of Aberdeen about six miles northwest of the city, best known for being the location of the city's airport. It is on the River Don. It is well served by both bus and train links.
