The sheltered housing scheme at Nethermains Court, Echt was built in 1989 and consists of 12 properties, 8 of which are linked cottages and 4 are flats, with the 2 upper floor
flats being served by a stair. All properties are accessed from a lit covered walkway around a courtyard area. Communal facilities are provided in the form of a resident's lounge and kitchen. There is also a laundry with washing machines and tumble dryers and a guest bedroom where tenants’ relatives or friends can stay.
All properties have electric 'Total Control' heating and there is a
Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the scheme.
We provide a Housing Support service 5 days each week at
this scheme. The Scheme Manager is normally on
duty from 9 am - 1 pm, Monday - Friday. When the
Scheme Manager is not on duty, support for tenants is
provided by RCC/Community Alarm, whose staff can initiate
appropriate action to assist.
