Housing Support Services

Castlehill Housing Support Services are registered with the Care Commission and receive funding from the local authorities’ Supporting People department.

Our support services consist of:

Sheltered and Very Sheltered Housing
our Scheme Managers and Housing Support staff provide assistance to our tenants with tasks such as regular checks on the person’s welfare, ensuring the house provides a safe and secure place to live and liaising with services such as GP, health professionals or home care to ensure that these services meet identified needs.

Key Project
extra assistance to help people maintain a successful tenancy.  This is a wide ranging service tailored to individual needs and can include help with benefits, health issues, budgeting, organising the household, help with form filling, employment and general advice.

Amenity Housing for Older Chinese people
Castlehill has 8 flats in Aberdeen allocated to older people from the Chinese community. The association employs a Support Worker for 3 hours per week, particularly to provide translation services and to assist residents to access the services they need.

In all our Housing Support services, each tenant has their own Housing Support Plan which details how support will be delivered and each tenant is totally involved in completing the plan and agreeing how their needs should be met.

Care Commission

The Care Commission is the government agency set up to regulate a wide range of care and support providers across Scotland. The Care Commission regulates and inspects our services to ensure that the government’s National Care Standards on housing support are being met. Complaints about any registered care or support service can also be referred to the Care Commission.
