The sheltered housing scheme at Newtonvale Court, Newtonhill was built in 1994 and consists of 4 cottages and 9 flats in a link property site set in landscaped grounds. There is a small residents lounge and kitchen that is well used for a range of social activities. There is no communal laundry or guest room at the scheme.
All properties have individual gas fired central heating systems and there is a
Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the scheme.
The Visiting Scheme Manager is on duty at the scheme during weekdays, and when the
Scheme Manager is not on duty, support for tenants is provided through the Community Alarm scheme that can initiate appropriate action to assist.
Newtonhill is located on the coast between Aberdeen and Stonehaven with public transport links to each. There is a Health Centre at Portlethen, which is close by, and in Newtonhill itself there is a church, Community Hall, library and shops. For leisure there is a local bowling club and various other community groups.
