The sheltered housing scheme at St Peter’s Court, Victoria Road, Torry, Aberdeen was completed in 1986, following conversion work on the original St Peter’s Episcopal Church. The building consists of 30 flats on 5 floors, with lift access to the ground floor and the 3 stories above. There is a large communal residents' lounge and
attached kitchen on the top floor, which commands extensive views over Aberdeen city and harbour and the coast beyond to the north. There is also a communal laundry equipped with washing machines and tumble dryers for tenants' use, and guest bedrooms where tenants’ relatives or friends can stay for a small charge.
All properties have electric 'Total Control' heating throughout and a door entry system at the main entrance provides security by restricting access to authorised persons only. There is a
Scheme Manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the building.
We provide a Housing Support service 7 days each week at this
scheme. We employ a Manager and a Relief Manager
to do so, and they are normally on duty each day from 8.00
am - 4.00 pm, with a one hour flexible break for lunch
between 12.00 - 2.00 pm. When staff are not on
duty, support for tenants is provided by RCC/Community
Alarm, whose staff can initiate appropriate action to
assist.
St Peter’s Court is close to local shops and services and regular public transport on Victoria Road gives access to Aberdeen city centre.
