Located in the popular Rosemount area of Aberdeen, the scheme at Thomson Street is close to a variety of shops and other services. There are also good public transport links to the city centre and the hospital.
5 Thomson Street was built in 1981. There are a total of 18 studio flats within the 3-storey block building, with lift access to all floors. There is a residents’ lounge with a kitchen on the first floor, a laundry and a guest bedroom where visiting friends or relatives can stay for a charge of £25 per night, booked through Castlehill’s main office.
All properties have central heating provided from a central gas boiler, and a door entry system at the main entrance door restricts access to the building to authorised persons only. There is a scheme manager call system and fire alarm system throughout the building.
Castlehill provides a housing support service 7 days each week at this scheme. Their staff are normally on duty from 9 am to 12 pm Monday- Friday. When staff are not on duty, support for tenants is provided by RCC/Community Alarm.
