Our Committee

Our Management Committee currently has 11 members, who are committed to the Castlehill objectives of the provision of high-quality housing and additional support for more vulnerable members of the community.

The Management Committee is responsible for leading the organisation: setting policy and strategy, and monitoring performance and ensuring legal and ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. Committee members are volunteers and bring a wide range of skills, expertise and perspective, pertinent to the complex work being carried out by the Association. The Committees’ knowledge has been greatly enhanced by tenant members who bring us first-hand experience and help us maintain our commitment to affordable, quality services for all.

The Management Committee has agreed to Committee Procedures & Standing Orders that sets out the responsibilities that it retains and those that are delegated either to staff or to sub-committees.

The remit of the sub-committees and the schedule of meetings are listed below. Meetings are hybrid meetings allowing Committee members to meet in person or via video conference facilities depending on preference.

We offer a full induction process for new Committee Members to ensure their contribution to Castlehill is fully supported. Training is provided to keep them up to date with all current governance issues and regulatory requirements. There is also a review process, which gives feedback on the effectiveness of contributions and provides a skills audit that identifies any potential development areas that may need to be addressed.
