New Deer is a village in central Buchan, about 8 miles from Mintlaw and 30 miles north of Aberdeen.  New Deer has several shops, a chemist, community groups and a public hall.

Turfhill Court comprises 12 x one-bed flats on the ground and first floor. The first-floor flats have stair access and stairlifts. In the building facing onto Main Street, there are communal facilities including a residents’ lounge, kitchen, laundry, shower room and disabled access toilet. There is a guest room for visiting relatives and friends to stay overnight and this can be booked.

Offering housing for older people in a safe and secure property with staff onsite to provide housing management services. These schemes promote Independent Living with the capacity to signpost tenants to other services should needs change to allow you to live independently in the home for as long as possible. Our schemes have Community Alarm systems so tenants can call for help in the event of an emergency.  When staff are not at the scheme, Community Alarm provides assistance.

Heating in the scheme is via ground source heat pump.  There is a fire alarm system throughout the scheme.
