Sheltered Housing

Our sheltered housing provides independent living for older people in a comfortable and secure environment.  Properties are designed with the particular needs of older people in mind and each flat or cottage consists of a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom or shower room.  All flats are easy to access and to look after.

Each of our sheltered housing schemes has staff to provide housing support to help residents live independently and promote well-being.  Our schemes have emergency alarm systems so our residents can call for help whenever they need it.  When staff are off-site,  Community Alarms provide assistance.

Most sheltered schemes have communal facilities in addition to the flats and this can include a residents’ lounge, laundry facilities, and guest rooms.  Many schemes have an active social element for those who like to be involved.

Our sheltered housing is regulated by the Scottish Housing Regulator, which publishes inspection reports.  Management services are regulated by the Care Commission, which publishes its own inspection reports.
